Why vote for you? What makes you sooooo different from SPEAK? What can you do for us? You may ask.
Well, here I am representing S.M.I.L.E, running for welfare officer with my partner, Ooi Kim Han. I am going to convince you that we are the right people to serve you as your welfare officers.
Let's consider this, fellow students. Is your VOICE heard? Are your frustrations being tended to? Are your THOUGHTS and SUGGESTIONS being taken into consideration?
S.M.I.L.E is a body representing you. This is our main objective as we are here to connect you to the top authorities. We are students too, and we are here to take up this challenge to serve Monashians.
As what was worded in the speech. These are the promises that will be carried out if we are elected.
1) A forum will be held at least once a month -for you to give suggestions and express your opinions.
2) Fight for better library facilities. More books!
3) Strive to provide more lockers. 100% increase in lockers. 48-->96!
-currently we have only 48 lockers, catering for 3000+ students.
4) Silver Wings Project.
-to be revised and reorganised.
-provide students more opportunity to win cash prizes.
5) New sub-committees will be formed under the welfare division to improve welfare services.
-more participation from the students.
To answer your doubts in fulfilling our promises, we would like to strongly assure you we will place in our best effort, regardless of accusations and suspicions, to fight for the best for students’ welfare!
Also, we would like you to know that there are many problems unaddressed that needs to be solved, for example, usage of the library roof-top terrace. We need the authority to bring these up and to make your voices and suggestions heard.
Well, all of us are seeking for trust, belief and support from students, to gain your confidence in us to create improvements and rare records.
